The building was designed by Frank Gehry and inaugurated in 2014. Frank Gehry (1929) is a Canadian-born American architect. Ones of his most famous buildings are the Dancing House in Prague (1996), the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao (1997), the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles (2003). The Foundation Louis Vuitton is in the Bois de Boulogne, on the edge of Paris. It promotes contemporary and historical art by hosting temporary exhibitions of modern and contemporary art.

🤩 The Musée Bourdelle is situated near the Montparnasse tower and train station, in the Montparnasse district, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.

It is a large, peaceful and beautiful place, with its sculptures gardens, the Bourdelle's studio and apartment. Bourdelle (1861-1929) was an french sculptor.

He was a student of Rodin, who hired him as a sculptor's assistant in 1893. Years later he teached at the Grande Chaumière Academy, one of his students being Alberto Giacometti.

⛪️The place of Saint-Sulpice is situated in the Latin Quarter of the Saint-Germain-des-Près district. The church of Saint Sulpice is the second largest church of Paris, after Notre-Dame cathedral. The modern day church is from the 17th century, with foundations from the 12th century. Construction lasted more than 200 years! This is why the two towers are not the same, as the architects changed over the years.

This famous institution for Anglophone writers and readers opened in 1951 and was founded by an American, George Whitman. At the time it was called “Le Mistral”. The name was changed in 1964 to the actual name, on the four-hundredth anniversary of William Shakespeare’s birth, and as a tribute to Sylvia Beach, the owner of the original Shakespeare and Company bookstore. This one was founded in 1919, also on the left bank, at 12 rue de l’Odéon.

As the first store welcomed great expat writers, some part of the "lost generation", such as Gertrude Stein, Ernest Hemingway F. Scott Fitzgerald and T. S. Eliot, the actual store rue de la Bûcherie welcomed some members of the "beat generation", such as Allen Ginsberg and William Burroughs, and other famous expat writers.

George Whitman’s daughter runs the shop since 2006.
